March 2019

Dear Curtis Family,

Cookie dough is expected to arrive on Tuesday, March 12th.  If students have three items or less, students will be able to take these items home on the bus. If more than three items, then parents will need to come to the gym between the hours of 3:00-6:00 on the same day. Thank you for all of your support at home for this successful fundraiser.

Spring is just around the corner. Harrington House will be here on Friday, March 8th to take spring pictures for those who would like to have a keepsake picture of their fourth and/or fifth grader. Only those dressed in their “spring outfits” will be photographed.

Please mark your calendar to join us on Friday, March 15th for Field Day! We will have lots of outdoor activities planned all day beginning at 8:30. Street Car Snowballs will be selling their frozen concoctions, and refreshments will be sold after lunch. Spring break follows beginning March 18 through 22.

A high five goes to Mrs. Alexander, Mrs. Fuller, Ms. Giddings, Mrs. McCartney, Mrs. McGuffee, Mrs. Nelson, and Mrs. Young!  Each of these teachers earned grant funding at for their classroom projects to acquire more fun equipment for their classrooms.  Curtis Elementary students continue to utilize technology on a daily basis. Both fourth and fifth grade students will participate in the on-line state assessment that is scheduled here April 9, 10, 11, and 16, 17.

Geaux Tigers!

Mrs. Bird, Principal
