Dear Curtis Elementary Families,

We're so excited to kick off the 2025-2026 school year! Get ready for a fantastic year with these important updates:

1. Registration is Open & Important Deadline! ✍️
It's time to register for the new school year! Please gather your two current proofs of residence (utility bill + property tax/deed/lease/declaration of residence form) and log into your OnCourse account to complete your child's annual registration. To ensure class placement for Meet the Teacher Night, registration MUST be completed by July 31st! You can also download the Bossier Schools App to stay informed.

2. Meet the Teacher & Supply Drop-Off Event! 🎉
Join us for our "Meet the Teacher" and Supply Drop-Off "Come and Go" event on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM! This is a great chance to:

-Drop off school supplies 🎒

-Meet your child's teacher 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

-Pick up Round 1 Spirit Orders (if placed)

-Sign up for transportation 🚌

Homeroom teacher assignments will be available for pickup at the event AFTER your child's 2025-26 Student Registration has been finalized.

3. School Supply Lists Are Ready! 📋
Get a head start on your back-to-school shopping! Supply lists for each grade are available. Check out the attached graphics for 4th and 5th-grade lists!

4. Spirit Wear Sale - Round 2! 🐯

Curtis Families Get ready to roar into summer reading with the Curtis Elementary Library! 🐯📚 Avoid the "summer slide" and join the exciting 9-week "Genre Games" Summer Reading Challenge on Google Classroom! Each week, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure, exploring a new genre. Here's how to play: Discover a new genre each week! Choose a book that fits the genre criteria. Provide text evidence to prove your book belongs to that genre. Fill in your book title, author, and evidence each week. Submit your completed document via Google Classroom at the end of the challenge (June 1 - July 31) and earn a fantastic reading reward when school is back in session!
